  • Computer science engineer (Ingénieur civil informaticien), specialized in artificial intelligence and networking. University of Liège, Belgium. " Promotion de 1987-88, grande distinction ".

    Thesis : "Vers un système de questions-réponses en langage naturel" ("A Q&A system with a natural language interface", use of the expert system shell KEE, of an object oriented database and development in Lisp of the natural language interface system).

  • Dale-Carnegie trainings - Communications, relationships et leadership.
  • Continuous education through additional courses, seminars, trainings, international conferences.
  • Certified consultant in computer science (by the Belgian Walloon Region; allows companies to receive grants covering up to 75% of my consulting fees)

Professional career :

  • 1988 — 1990 : Research in artificial intelligence, computer science department, Prof. Ribbens, Montefiore Institute, University of Liège, Belgium. IRSIA contract, "Tronc commun en intelligence artificielle" (with other Belgian universities : ULB, VUB, KUL, UCL). Further development of thesis work, with additional emphasis on constraint propagation techniques and various reasoning simulation techniques.
  • 1990 — 1993 : Software development of a computer network monitoring system in NRB (Network Research Belgium). System based on AI techniques, Lisp machines, object oriented database, GUI in CLIM and own expert system kernel. Management of heterogeneous networks (IP, Decnet, SNA, Appletalk), automatic topology discovery and display, equipment interfacing, alarm management and automatic recovery.
  • 1993 — 1998 : Project manager, Internet projects for NRB. Development of large scale intranets and extranets (for insurance companies, public utilities,...). Messaging solutions, client/server projects through internet technologies (database and mainframe connections), security aspects and connectivity.
  • 1998 — 2001 : Owner of PCSolutions (Professional Computing Solutions).  Advanced automated secure medical messaging systems (docs.be and mexi.be).
  • 1986 — today : Owner and general manager (CEO) of Manex. Software development projects and internet consultancy. Mobile computing projects. Expertise developed in medical computing, Java programming (from mobile to desktops to server side), systems engineering, web apps (JSP), cryptography, security...  Network architecture counseling, messaging, directory, ecommerce systems, backend integration.
  • 2006 — today : Owner and president of Axola; Advanced Solutions for Audit and reporting. International distribution of software products.
